Terms & Conditions of Service

By purchasing and submitting samples to The Gigabird Project, you agree to the following terms:

1. Sample Collection & Accuracy Liability

  • Customer Responsibility: Accuracy of the results relies entirely on the quality and integrity of the sample provided by the customer. Samples must be collected, labeled sequentially, and handled according to our strict anti-contamination guidelines.

  • Limitation of Liability: While our in-house genetic testing is 99.9% accurate under optimal laboratory conditions, The Gigabird Project provides no guarantees, explicit or implied, regarding the final results. We assume absolutely no financial or legal liability for damages, loss of income, breeding failures, or logistical costs resulting from an incorrect sex determination result.

2. Remake & Retest Policy

  • Degraded Samples: If a sample arrives at our laboratory contaminated, degraded, or containing insufficient DNA pulp/blood to process, we will notify you immediately.

  • Retest Credit: We will process a replacement sample for that specific bird at no additional laboratory cost; however, the customer is responsible for any secondary shipping costs to get the new sample to us.

3. Order Processing & Cancellations

  • Order Tracking: Samples received without a clearly visible Online Order Number on the outside of the mailing envelope cannot be processed and may be discarded after 14 days if unclaimed.

  • Refund Policy: Due to the custom, biological nature of laboratory processing, all sales are final once testing has commenced on your samples.
